Vicky has been with ANA since 2013. She is the manager at ANA WORKS Housing. Vicky has been a part of ANA WORKS since it first opened in 2015 and continues to support people into independent living after going through a process of adapting to life in the real world, post treatment and in early recovery. Watching and helping people turn their lives around and discovering new ways to live is what motivates Vicky every day. She facilitates house meetings , offers practical support and pathways to courses, education and voluntary work at a pace that the residents are comfortable with .Vicky enjoys spas in her free time and walking her beloved dog Ralph in the beautiful countryside and surroundings that we have in Hampshire.
James joined ANA in 2015 after a 40 year career working in Financial Services throughout the South and South West of England, which included working with property-related business and care/residential homes customers over many years. He works with us on a part-time basis both in the acquisition and management of our property portfolio. James manages our volunteer maintenance team and has even been known to get his own hands dirty undertaking repairs and decoration! His vision for our property and all areas that he has responsibility for is “continual improvement”, with the main emphasis on ensuring that our clients' stay with us is as comfortable as possible.
Richard joined ANA in 2005 as Business Development Director and was appointed CEO in 2012. His background then was in social inclusion, equality and management development. Richard has a degree in Business Studies and Post Grad Diploma in Addiction Studies. Since joining ANA, Richard has worked with Libby to relocate and restructure ANA to include Fleming House. He co-founded the treatment loop service for ANA and later the CHOICES group of Rehabs. He also founded ANA WORKS, the supported housing service, with Libby, in 2014. Richard has served on the Boards of EATA, as Vice Chair, DrugScope as a trustee and CHOICES as Chair. Recently, Richard was invited to join the Board of The Recovery Group UK (RGUK). Richard has also served as Co-Chair of RGUK until 2023 and currently is continuing his work for the sector with The CHOICES group. He lives nearby with his wife and two children.
Libby Garnham founded ANA Treatment Centres in 1998 with her late husband, Christopher. She has steered and cherished the organisation ever since. Libby has numerous qualifications including an MSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy. Libby has led on many ANA developments including the introduction of third stage treatment in 2010, development of ANA WORKS supported Housing and programme management and review. She has chaired the FDAP Board and advised numerous organisations and individuals on addiction and recovery. Formerly CEO, now Libby Chairs ANA Treatment Centres and ANA Works. Libby lives near Romsey in Wiltshire and is very active in local life.
Nonye has been with Ana since July 2023. Nonye relocated to Portsmouth from London and has been in recovery since October 2019.
Previously worked for DWP Jobcentre Plus as a Disability Employment Advisor. Her role has brought her in contact with people in active addiction and recovery and feels that it is important to empower individuals to positive choices and changes in their lives.
Nonye enjoys her various roles within ANA and has had the opportunity to experience the recovery journey from the start to the completion of their treatment, as well as providing support to clients whether it be listening and talking, practical support with dentists, doctors or anything that will allow our clients to focus on their individual treatment. Nonye uses her first hand experience when advising and supporting ANA WORKS in her capacity as a board member.
Geoffrey Wilson's career was spent in Human Resources both internationally and in the UK before he became Managing Director of a Training and Development company. Since his retirement, Geoff has had a number of volunteer roles including Chair of a family support charity. In addition to being a board member with ANA WORKS, he is also currently Treasurer and Trustee of a charity which offers relief and assistance to refugees and asylum-seekers.
Over the last 30 years, George has managed the CORGI/Gas Safe Assessment Centre at Highbury College and was Pastor at Portsmouth Christian Fellowship until July 2023. He has been involved with ANA for over sixteen years ago and has supported the work in a Pastoral way. George is a founding Board member and has been advising ANA WORKS since its launch in 2015.
James is an enthusiastic, passionate, committed, motivated leader with extensive experience of delivering homelessness and housing services, care services and substance use services for over 30 years. He has worked at an operational and director level.
James’s current role is County Manager of Hampshire’s Drug & Alcohol Service.
He has been a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) since 2014. James is a founding member of the board at ANAWORKS, supporting and advising the organisation since 2015.
